In other news, I have weird priorities

I'm still trying to decide whether I want to risk fantastic amounts of debt just so I can see the launch of the last Space Shuttle mission. Thoughts?

Well, if it is something you want to be a part of, then go.

You have lots of time to prep up and maybe do it on the "inexpensive".

First... Gather a list of charter bus company's and E-mail them, someone may be putting together a trip anyway.

You can't easily Amtrak to Fla from CHI, you'll have to go to DC or NY first. But, you pack your bike and touring bags, take the train to Orlando, put your bike together and ride to cocoa beach, about 60 miles. Now you have the perfect vehicle to find a spot to watch the launch with you.

Nah. There'll be other manned missions someday. Wait until you're financially better off to travel to the Cape, and watch this one on NASA's website with a cold beer in hand.

From this country? Not until China has planted a few flags on the Moon.
