X-mas at Hyde Park Shopping Center, other wintry scenes
This didn't turn out like what I had in mind, but the lights are pretty.
This was during the snow/sleet/freezing rain/ice storm on Saturday, toward evening.
Bicycle icicles outside DKE after all that "atypical" weather. I thought they looked sad.
...
In other news, leakage in Hyde Park Progress.

Hallo Jennifer,
Yes, the uppermost photo looks good. No shoppers though.
To me, as a foreigner, the last picture with those cycles laying in the snow is rather strange. Two Greek temples with small gardens in front with cycles and in the background a modern appartment building.
Georg
Greek temple? Oh! That's an apartment building with two porches in front, one on either side of the front door. There are some apartments in this neighborhood built like that with Greek-style columns, but otherwise they're just normal flats.
I was hoping you would tell Georg how the Greek architectural influence in your area dates back to the neoclassical style of Daniel Burnham's "White City" at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Jackson Park.
