Deck the bikes

Update: Here's Avenger decked with two strings of mini LED wreath lights from my local "small box" retailer:

I followed a highly technical procedure consisting of (1) wedging the battery packs under seat and (2) tying the strings around the frame. But given that I wouldn't trust the weatherproofing of this setup in a slightly damp breeze, I don't think I'll be trying it outside anytime soon. Ah well.

I then considered that Scooty-Puff has been ridden all of, what, three times? and isn't going anywhere until about May or so (*sniff*), so I moved it to a more permanent winter location in the living room (which seems surprisingly spacious since I got rid of the milk crates). I decorated it with the wreath my mom made for me last year:

Merry X-mas from Jennifer the Bike Lane Hottie!

(In other news, Avenger's really grimy. I don't think I've cleaned it since... When's the last time let it sit out in the rain? Oh boy. How do I clean all that stuff off without a garden hose?)
...
I think I have been sufficiently inspired.

Stay tuned.
...
In other news, this.

You should pose with your bike for holiday cards, like my parents do with their dog.

The update: It's beautiful!

One of my Walgreen's light strands survived the bus trip in the rain; the other one just wanly glows but appears to be on the way out.

Re: posing for holidays cards, that would be crazy. I mean, dressing up your pets and doing that is already borderline crazy, isn't it?

(And now my mom is going to email me a million pictures of their cat in reindeer antlers or something to get me back for saying that.)
