Shawnee Weekend Forest Ride

LIB introduces the Shawnee Weekend Forest Ride, three lovely autumn days in the beautiful Shawnee National Forest with help from the friendly folks* at the Carbondale Bicycle Club. This begs the question: how does one pronounce "SWFR," anyway? The obvious acronym has alrady been trademarked by something completely different.

In other news, it's supposed to snow in Chicago later this week.

*Or so I assume, but in general cyclists do tend to be pretty friendly folks. Well, absent any urban rush-hour motor vehicle traffic, anyway.
